To Know God...and Make Him Known

βMay the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.βRomans 15:13

God Is Our Hope
Hope
Advent is a season in the Church calendar that calls Christ followers to prepare themselves for the coming of the savior; Jesus Christ. Itβs also a time filled with expectancy, a time to reorient our priorities to βprepare Him roomβ in our hearts, minds, and lives.Β
The whole of creation is βcrying out,β testifying to the glory of God. It screams of the hope we have as children of God. Our hope isnβt like some sort of kite blowing at the mercy of changing winds but is an βanchor for the soul, firm and secure.β Our biblical hope is inseparable from faith in God and is not simply a desire but a fact anchored in what God has done in Christ. We have hope because of Christ and we have assurance of that hope.
May we lean into God in new and fresh ways this season. MayΒ Jesus beΒ our non-negotiable this Christmas and everything else as negotiableβ¦Β
Hebrews 6:19-20βWe have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus who went before us, has entered on our behalf.β Hebrews 6:19-20
God, help us to embrace Advent in the way the way YOUΒ intend: as a way to prepare for Your arrival. May everything weΒ doβevery gift weΒ send, every party weΒ attend, every meal weΒ shareβremind usΒ to prepare space in ourΒ hearts for You. Amen.
'Hope' be with you,Chris, Lizzi, Malakai, Laila, Rhema,Β Moses, and Zion
