To Know God and Make Him Known
“Draw near to God and he will draw near to you.” James 4:8
Aloha {{first_name|McCalls on Mission Community}}!
In Awe of our Great God
It's been a full and rewarding season for our family! Between settling into our new home, the kids starting school, and a new School of Worship kicking off, we've also seen God open some incredible doors for ministry in Europe.
And, about settling into our new home…we really want to say a huge THANK YOU for all of your prayers and support! In faith, we said yes to opening escrow on this opportunity. Even though we didn’t have the finances to pull off this deal, we knew God was calling us to deeper faith and trust that He could provide through various people.
During the time of raising the finances, we asked for permission to update the condo by re-painting, removing carpet, and installing new wood flooring in the other half of the condo that hadn’t been done yet. We did this in full knowledge that even if we didn’t end up with enough finances for the purchase, that we wouldn’t get any reimbursement for the materials and work we did.
Through hurricanes and power outages, we knew this was our part to step into; to make this place nicer no matter what the outcome was! Ultimately, we saw half the purchase price in cash come in and we were able to secure a mortgage note through the YWAM Land Trust at a very low rate.
We are praising God and thanking Him for the provision of secure housing. I’m also grateful to have two bathrooms again, a bedroom with a door, and a ceiling that I can’t touch while laying in bed. Oh ya, and a kitchen! Join us in praising God for this miracle! Two days after we moved in it was time for me to hop on a plane for another missionary journey to Norway…
An Unexpected Journey
What began as an invitation to train worship teams in Bergen turned into something much bigger than I anticipated!
Through an unexpected connection with a dear Pastor friend, I was invited to join a worship and prayer tour across Norway. The purpose of the tour was to call the nation to repentance, particularly regarding Norway's role in facilitating the 1993 Oslo Accords between Israel and the Palestinians which has ultimately failed at creating peace.
“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
Norway's efforts to establish peace through political agreements also failed to recognize God's biblical covenant with the Jews regarding their land inheritance. The desire was to lead gatherings of worship, prayer, repentance, and reconciliation while calling the Church to stand with the Jewish people.
One particularly meaningful part of the tour was the invitation for people to bring gold and silver believed to have been stolen from Jewish families during WWII. These precious metals were to be fashioned into an "Elijah Cup" and presented at the Knesset in Israel as a symbolic act of repentance and restoration.
At each gathering, a "New Oslo Accord" was proclaimed—a declaration written by a leader of Norway's prayer movement, expressing repentance for the nation's role in the original accords and a renewed commitment to honoring God's covenant with Israel. Local political and church leaders signed this declaration at gatherings throughout the tour.
Another powerful part of the journey was meeting Max, a Palestinian man who grew up with a deep hatred toward Jewish people. After 19 years of his wife's prayers, he had a life-changing encounter with Jesus and became a follower of Christ. Today, he pastors a church in Minneapolis and joined the tour to share his testimony and perspective on Israel and reconciliation. What a beautiful picture of the transforming power of Jesus!
At each gathering, we experienced powerful moments of worship and prayer, with people responding to God's presence. It was incredible to witness the momentum building across the nation!
I eventually traveled to Oslo, where I spent time songwriting with a longtime friend and investing in his church's creative team of approximately 80 people. It was amazing to see how God connected these ministry opportunities in ways I never could have planned!

France: Raising Up a New Sound
Next week, I'm heading back to France to facilitate a songwriting retreat with the YWAM Paris Connect worship community.
There's a rich history of YWAM helping shape worship music in the French-speaking world and this particular community has been longing to step into this inheritance.
After visiting earlier this year, I helped develop a practical plan to move their original songs from songwriting to recording. Now, alongside two other team members, I'll be helping equip and coach this team to write fresh songs that can bless churches throughout the French-speaking world.
Please pray for the Holy Spirit's leading, creative breakthrough, and lasting fruit from this retreat.
We're so grateful for your prayers and partnership. It's because of faithful people like you that we get to invest in worshippers and help release new songs of worship among the nations.
To God be all the glory!
Messenger by the Sea

We’re excited to share a new adventure our family has stepped into! As many of you know, Malakai has been passionately pursuing his dream of becoming a professional surfer. To help support that journey, we’ve been working alongside him to launch Messenger by the Sea, a faith-inspired surf and lifestyle clothing brand rooted in our love for Jesus and the ocean.
Inspired by 2 Corinthians 5:20, the heart behind the brand is to encourage people to live as ambassadors for Christ wherever life takes them.
This is an exciting opportunity for Malakai to grow as a young entrepreneur while helping fund his surfing dreams. We would love your prayers as we take these first steps, and if you’d be willing to help spread the word, it would mean so much to our family!
Check out the brand at www.messengerbythesea.com and feel free to share it with your friends and family!
The brand comes alongside a short film telling Malakai’s story of being born with one ear and being confident in God’s plan over what the world might say he can or can’t do. We held a premier for the film last week here in Kona the YWAM Campus Theater.
We are so grateful for the many who came to the film debut and to our dear friend Matt Lowry who filmed and edited this film because he believed Kai’s unfolding story needed to be told!

Mahalo 🙌🏼
As we reflect on all that God is doing, we're continually reminded that none of it happens alone. We are deeply thankful for every one of you who faithfully stands with us through your prayers, encouragement, and financial support.
Your partnership makes it possible for us to continue serving around the world, and we're honored to labor together for the sake of God's Kingdom.
Thank you for believing in what God has called us to and for being such an important part of the journey. We also count it a privilege to pray for you, so if there's ever a way we can be interceding on your behalf, please let us know.
Lastly, if there are opportunities for us to serve alongside you in your ministry or community, we'd love to explore them. It's a joy to partner together as the body of Christ, each of us contributing to His purposes in the world.
“Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he dismissed the crowd.”
Blessing
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and may the Lord give you peace. Amen. 🙏
Grace and Peace be with you in Abundance,
-Chris, Lizzi, Kai, Laila, Rhema, Moses, and Zion ♥️-
